Sneaky Boy
Sneaky boy has been getting up before us without a sound and rummaging in the cereal cabinet. One morning, Jed was remorse to find Kaelem had eaten a chocolate doughnut he was reserving for himself. Another morning, Kaelem had pulled out the cereal, crackers, bread, raisins, and chips all before we even heard him. He opened up the pumpkin bread we made and burrowed his little hand in the center to eat out the guts of the loaf. As you can see from the video, he takes his chair to climb up on the trash can. I’ve also caught him on the counter trying to reach for the Halloween candy we stashed on the top shelf. Tonight, Jed installed magnetic locks on the cabinet doors. I’ll leave a snack on his table for him. He probably is still going to flip-out though that he can’t open the doors. Poor kid. But poor us if he keeps gobbling all our food down. Really though, it’s not safe for him to be climbing up on the counter.
He’s supposed to ask “pohmesopon” that is, permission, before getting into the cabinet.

So funny! Glad I wasn’t there when it happened ’cause I wouldn’t have been able to keep from laughing!
My friend’s son did the same thing a year or so ago (he’s 4 now) except instead of cereal he got potato chips and popsicles!! But to his credit, he told on himself. They didn’t catch him doing it. He was so hyper that morning at church, too!

haha my favorite part:
“Did you eat it?”
Without thinking: Yeah
Oh Wait I’ll get in trouble: No…
I’ll get in even more trouble if I lie: Yeah…
