My Little Campers
Ok, so it’s not really camping when the place you’re staying looks more like a resort than a campground. Our fall retreat spot with the high schoolers is so ridiculously nice…if it wasn’t for the 4 hour drive, I’d want to go there every weekend. Anyway, I have in the past had a cabin of girls at this camp, but these days my campers are two cute little boys. We had a great time wandering around the fields, looking for fish, and swinging in the hammocks. I wasn’t able to listen to the guest speaker, but did stand in the back with Kaelem during some of the silly camp games and music time. Jed, on the other hand, was incredibaly stressed most of the weekend. We only saw each other in passing. In the future, I hope to be able to be more of a help to him and also spend more time with the girls. For now though, I’m thankful Kaelem and Quincy and I can tag along and at least in some small way be a part of what daddy does. Seriously, I dont’ know of any other little kids who get to go to work with dad as much as they do.
