Some other little monkeys. We’ve been to the zoo twice now in the last two weeks. It’s a great place to go in the winter because it’s mostly indoors, well except for these poor shivering guys.
Beloved Bear
Kaelem is paci free! It’s been a week now. Sunday night was the first cry free night! There’s still some protesting at nap times, but I can remember not wanting to take naps either.
I was having second thoughts about taking away the bear…just remembering how cute Kaelem was when he snuggled it up to his face to smell it leaving only his eyes peaking out, and how after giving the bear to him in his crib and saying good night he would nod his head and smile at us, and the precious little way he said “beyah.” I think I can for the first time say as a parent, “this hurts me more than it hurts you.”
Until, the other night when I put him to bed and said to him, “I love you” and he smiled and nodded.

That’s the same bear we have! Except the giraffe is something different, I can’t remember what it is, maybe a lion? I’m not looking forward to the day when we take it away from her
