High School Musical 3

Last Friday was the opening day of High School Musical 3. We bought tickets days in advance for the sophomore girls d-groups and arrived and hour early to get seats. This was the first of the HSMs that was in theaters, so was excepted to be big. The girls said they had fun, which is a good thing because the evening did not go as we had planned. Such as, the wait for Cheesecake Factory turned out to be 90 minutes, so we opted to do Ben and Jerry’s instead. Then, while waiting around at the Ben and Jerry’s stand eating ice cream we were hassled (twice) by guards in uniform. They told us that we could not be in a group of more than five people. There were twelve of us, so we made little cirlces of four and stood a couple yards from each other. It was a lesson in submitting to authority, even when it’s ridiculous and discriminate.

The movie itself was like the others and more likeable than the second. It ended with an obvious set-up for another High School Musical wannabe class to come in and take over the drama department. I already know that will just be bad. Speaking of bad, the movie was rated G. We all decided it should have been PG given the wardrobe selections and smoochy scenes. I was pleased that the girls took note of that. I would have to think twice about taking a group of younger girls to that movie who may be more easily influenced!

I went and saw that too! On Sunday night however, and my friend and I were the only ones in the theater. This awesome environment entitled us to get up and dance during the fun scenes and closing song haha. I agree though I know that a lot of the moms were impressed with the wardrobe of HSM2, but i was thinking the same thing watching it and allll of there skirts were up to there butts. P.s did you notice that Gabriella only wore dresses? Except one time she wore a skirt… I wonder why…..
